Rate of PIP daily living component: Enhanced
4 point descriptor score: No
Possibility to score at least one 4-point daily living descriptor at the next review: I am fearful I won't given 4 points as assessors tend to spread scores over 2 points,
Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: I struggle with meal preparing, cooking meals I need assistance/supervision incase of fainting, chronic pain and issues with my dominant hand, dressing my upper body due to shoulder problems, due to eating disorder I struggle with eating and wanting to eat, struggle with being able to wash safely due to fainting/drop attacks as well as washing upper torso with pain in shoulder and upper back. I need assistance when needing to be in social situations as I will not speak and if I can actively avoid the situation,as it causes me to become extremely overwhelmed I will. I have given all my budgeting decisions to someone else as I find it overwhelming to deal with and struggle making even small decisions, all my things are direct debit so I don't have to make decisions
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: I would loose approx £851 a month, I would also loose my entitlement to a carer for someone helping me/supervising me due to my conditions. the 851 statistic.is made up of pip daily living and LCWRA, this alone would have an impact, even if I eventually get my pip reinstated I still would be down a significant amount in LCWRA approx £416. This would have a detrimental impact on my physical, mental and financial wellbeing as it would cause even further unnecessary stress and worry given my own personal circumstances.
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: Problems I forsee would be I would be an insurance risk due to some of my disabilities (drop/attacks), knee/hip/shoulder dislocation, chronic pain etc, I have an education to degree level but through unfortunate circumstance of abuse I found myself disabled and in a cycle of constant appointments and benefit assessments, my energy levels, mental and physical health would suffer as it has done drastically in the past when I've been faced with working and coping with my disabilities, I paid the price physical, mental and emotionally, setting myself into cycles of constant medication, therapies and testing.
Anything else to tell us: I don't think the labour government has thought the green paper through, particularly the 4 points. It's not only going to impact the disabled, the children of disabled, it will affect the carers who are saving the government alot so the NHS doesn't have to foot the bill. The current assessment in itself is corrupt in its assessing people's disabilities, anyone that has a medical tag such as nurse, physio or even dental nurse, is helping make decisions on people's complex needs after a 6-8week course with the government advising to give little as little points as possible, hence the high turnover when it comes to appeals, I shudder to think how bad it will be if this goes forward. I also question where are all the jobs coming from, not just for the disabled people but for the carers who have been out of paid work and in carer duties for years, where are the jobs for them people. The government has pulled this idea in haste to cover expenses they have wasted in other areas of their budget, they have went back on all their manifesto promises. The conservative governments ideas on benefit reform were found to be unlawfully in various ways, labours is even worse, yet is not being subjected to the scrutiny it should be. The labour government being the cowards they are know what they are proposing is unlawful and going to plunge millions of disabled, children and carers into poverty. The current labour government are too concerned with keeping their noses in the trough and siphoning off millions on luxuries and accepting bribes, 'gifts'. The power has gone to their heads and I hope they realise that they will be the villains in history as they will be seen as 'balancing the books on the backs' of the old, disabled, children and carers. Furthermore plunging disabled families into poverty is only going to cause a further decline in Britain's society and job statistics, as statistics show children in poverty are less likely to thrive as parents who are disabled and forced to work, don't have the time, energy or resources to help them further themselves emotionally, socially or academically. The current government is condemning millions to a life of poverty, pain and unnecessary stress. The problem with youth not working is the education system is in shambles, schools are teaching kids it's ok to be lazy, it's not their problems. Alot of SEN kids who are academically capable and could be working, unfortunately by the time they come out of the school system they are burnt out from the lack of support and their mental health in tatters, as services in mental health particularly for youths are not readily available. Reeves, Stalmer and Kendall, need to turn their attention to more pressing matters such as the failing education system, especially the state of SEN provision, the overload of immigrants and furthermore look to themselves and the amount of money they themselves claim through expenses(alot which can be deemed very questionable), allowances regarding their homes, concessions for food and drinks, money spent on luxury purchases and exclusive clubs, all taken out of the taxpayers money. The most important point of all though is this government is going to also cost people their jobs as that extra money helps keep people in jobs as PIP IS NOT RELATED TO WORK, pip helps people stay in work with the extra support they need ,taking that away from people, taking away someone's independence is a travesty and purporting that if someone is on pip means they aren't working is LIES but what can you expect from this government. Add the disabled people who loose their pip forcing them out of work to the statistic of carers and disabled they will have to find jobs for, when the job market is actively shrinking and the wfh is like gold dust. I do question their sanity or are they gonna train up disabled people under the guise of work coaches to fudge statistics as their is already a shortage and reeves recently got rid of 10 000 civil service in a streamlining exercise, there is no jobs even for certain professions they are leaving to go elsewhere due to the shortage of jobs, so I further question where are they pulling the jobs from are they hoping it ll float up in a boat or it will be a freebie idea, evidently they don't have a clue, all they care about is lining their own pockets, getting their freebies and focusing on foreign lands/people. They don't care about the people, they only care about the rich as they need them to feel accepted into that society, they don't care about the future of the UK, they only care about how much they can bleed from the British taxpayer, they hide behind blaming the most vulnerable old people, disabled and children. This is present day labour party, a party for the working class, to that I say yeah right, they are more blue blooded than they conservative party. Only thing red in that party is Stalmer and reeves face when they are pulled on their BS.
