Nickname: Anon |
Age: 58 |
Main health condition: Physical health |
Main conditions that affect daily living: Functional neurological movement disorder, multiple levels spine disc degeneration including neck & trapped nerves, abdominal aortic aneurysm, shoulder damage, osteoarthritis multiple joints, degenerative knee disease, ckd stage 3, liver inflammation, duodenum inflammation, gastroparesis |
Rate of PIP daily living component: Standard |
4 point descriptor score: No |
Possibility to score at least one 4-point daily living descriptor at the next review: Unlikely |
Tasks you struggle with on a day-to-day basis: Washing, bathing, dressing, cooking & food prep, toileting, |
Expected income you will lose if the Green Paper cuts are imposed: Approximately £1200 with loss of DL PIP & non dependent deductions for housing costs. And the Support group payment & premium of NS ESA |
Expected problems if you tried moving into work, with support from a work coach: I could only work from home due to severe mobility problems and only do a part time admin job at most about 12 hours a week over a few days. I would need adjustments from an employer, I would be having to take time off regularly due to the effects of my conditions making me unable to function and work and time off for hospital appointments. I am a wheelchair user and need someone to push me as I cannot self propel, so going to appointments and travel to a job is not possible as my daughters / carers also work full time so not available during working hours. |
Anything else to tell us: I score 11 points currently on my pip daily living across numerous descriptors. The impact of the 4 points rule will cause tremendous stress and financial hardship, consequently increasing deterioration of my health, so therefore still being unable to work. Also losing money to put petrol in my notability car, that my family / carers have to drive as I cannot drive, so I am heavily reliant on them to get me out doors, I am also a wheelchair user and cannot self propel, so I need my carers to be with me all the time. |
