The supermarket chain, and largest private sector employer, has advertised a vacancy that will pay with Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) and expenses.

The night shift vacancy in East Anglia was advertised on the Jobcentre Plus website and has caused controversy over social media.
The vacancy is part of the Department for Work and Pensions’​ (DWP) scheme to create mandatory work experience in an attempt to help tackle unemployment. The scheme was introduced in May 2011 when Chris Grayling, Minister for Employment, said: “​These placements are all about getting people into a working routine if they need an additional push to get into employment.
