Update: missing second 2023 £300 Cost of Living Payment

The second 2023 £300 Cost of Living Payment should have been paid between 31 October and 19 November 2023.  The DWP claim that 99% had been paid by 7 November and that all the rest would be paid by 19 November.  But, at the deadline, we are still hearing from people who have not had theirs.

Details of who is eligible are available here.

If you still haven't received your payment, you can use this online form from 20 November 2023 to report it.

Previous cost of living payments

The DWP have published an online form to report missing Cost of Living payments from earlier this year.

The form covers:

The £150 Disability Cost of Living Payment paid between 20 June 2023 and 4 July 2023 for most eligible claimants.

The  £301 paid between 25 April 2023 and 17 May 2023 for most eligible claimants.

You can use the form to report either of these payments as missing, although if you want to report both as missing you will have to complete the form twice.

You will need your national insurance number in order to complete the form.

£150 Disability Cost of Living Payment

To be entitled to a payment, you need to have been eligible for one of the following benefits on 1 April 2023:

  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Personal Independence Payment
  • Attendance Allowance
  • Scottish Disability Benefits (Adult Disability Payment and Child Disability Payment)
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment
  • Constant Attendance Allowance
  • War Pension Mobility Supplement

There’s more details here.

  • Universal Credit
  • Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Income Support
  • Working Tax Credit

There’s more details here.

For anyone who isn't aware - sometimes a benefit claim may be 'clerical', meaning that it doesn't show up on the DWP's normal system. To see your award they have to go into another system. This can cause the COL payment not to be paid. That's what I just found out. So, it may be worth calling the DWP and asking them whether your claim is a 'clerical' claim, and if so ask them to send a message to the team that deal with the COL payments to request that your payment is made.

I recieved a payment within the qualifying period, didnt recieve the COL Payment, Reported it missing, Recieved a letter to my home address confirming i will recieve a payment of £300, Still waiting and have not heard anything since 22nd November. There is no update online in regards to any information about what is going on or any dates that the payment will be paid within. DWP have forgotten me i think 😂

Still nothing, I’ve had a payment within the qualifying period, I get UC and been told that I’ll be notified if it’s successful…….Ive also reported it as a missing payment online. It’s upsetting because especially this time of year it could be very useful

@Ang yes he qualifies, has he reported a missing payment? if not, he must report a missing payment and he will be back dated and paid. Like most people in this thread who are waiting for their money he will be put on a waiting list and paid when DWP can be bothered to make the payment. Hope this helps. Thanks
