Esther McVey has today resigned as secretary of state for work and pensions, but over Brexit rather than universal credit (UC).
McVey only took up her post in January of this year, replacing David Gauke.
Gauke himself lasted just six months in the job and McVey was the fourth person to be appointed to the post in less than two years.
The next work and pensions minister will be the fourth to be appointed by Theresa May.
McVey will be primarily remembered for her habit of misleading MPs and twisting the truth as far as possibly could. She is unlikely to be missed by many claimants.
