The points system!

How many points do you need to pass the physical and how many for the mental cos I a totally confused

Assuming you are referring to ESA you need to score a total of 15 points.

Unlike IB it does not matter whether the points are for mental or physical illnesses. However you only score points for the physical test if your failure to carry out the activity is a result of a physical disablement, and likewise only score points for the mental test as a result of a mental disablement.

So, if you were to suffer both physical and mental disabilities would the score be combined on both parts of the ESA form?

Yes, you total the points for both tests. 9 physical and 6 mental health points or vice versa would be sufficient.

So are you saying that if someone says yes to needing supervision to keep themselves safe and it is as result of suffering with a physical condition which causes dizziness then they won't score points for that as it is under mental?

Would that mean if you say you got 9 for physical and 9 for mental would you be put automatically in the employment support group or not?
