Enhanced disability Premium Application

Hi, can anyone tell me where I apply for this? I have just been awarded hrc and was informed that I should be entitled to this being on IS. I know I am not entitled to the sdp as I do not live alone, so this is regarding the edp only.

Should this premium be paid automatically - in that they will recalculate and send me a new letter which will show they are including this premium, or do I need to apply?

Any advice you can give me is much appreciated.

The EDP should automatically be added to your IS premiums. There is no need to apply for this addition.

Thank you crazydiamond, so, I should be getting a new letter and a little backpay from them then, as the DLA was awarded from the day they recieved my claim rather than the day my previous award was due to run out. I shall wait a couple of weeks and see what happens, thanks so much.

Just another quic Q, I wonder do I inform them that my DLA has inreased? If so, who do I ring?

Who are you referring to regarding informing of your increased DLA?

Hi Pete,

I think Annubis is referring to informing the DWP DLA Unit. However, although my knowledge of IS and related premiums is sparse, it doesn't amount to a change of circumstances for DLA purposes, so needn't be reported.

Annubis can you confirm my assumption ?
