I'm sure I read something on B&W the other day that said that if your answers on the ESA50 indicate that you might be eligible for the support group then ATOS will always write to your GP for further information before arranging the medical.
But now I can't find what I thought I read. Is this correct?
ATOS should request a report from your doctor in all cases, unless they believe there is sufficient information in and/or with your ESA50 foer them to make a decision, however, in many cases this does not happen.
It is more likely that they will if there is a liklihood that a claimant is eligible for the Support Group but you cannot assume that they will.
We always recommend members to send any and all evidence with their ESA50s and to speak to their medical contacts to assist them with this.
