the letter giving the decision referss to my recent medical(took place march 15th)it seems to be about a completley different person to me,it says i can walk 150 meters,i cant walk two steps,it also states i can cook and hold untensils,i clearly told the atos medical officer i dont do any cooking my husband does it all i cant hold saucepans.
other things in the letter dont make sense.i have read about the atos medical officers but this is bad,(short phrase removed by mod).
i would be very greatful for any advice.
i rang dwp and they told me to have a think if i want to ask for a revision of the decision or an appeal.i dont know what to do,noit only lost my mode of transport which means i wont go far now,but alos 200 a month care and my carer will now stop so i wont be able to function normally.
thanks in advance for any help and avice

Now, you've already addressed in your post the fact that you believe that you qualify for DLA because you cannot walk and you cannot prepare a meal, so it's time to get started with an appeal.
Go through our information on how to make an appeal (in the Help for claimants area) and start putting together an appeal.
Meanwhile, get a GL24 form from the DWP to make your appeal on. You have a month to get your appeal in, although you can send further documents up to two weeks before the hearing date.
If you ask for an appeal, the decision will be automatically reviewed, so you don't have to ask for a review separately.

i had a home medical as a result of this letter(in march).
having read through the decision letter again(without tears clouding my eye sight)i cant believe the letter is about me at all.it would seem to be about a different person.DLa unit at no point contacted my carer for information, even though i named him as a point of contact for info.i will loose my carer wont i immediatley?as i assume his carers allowence will now stop?does all this affect my incapacity benefit?i have recieved that for 13 years now?
i have made an appt to see my g.p for tuesday 7th june to discuss this decision letter with him.
thanks again,i feel very silly for becoming so upset but i also feel like my life is going to be so difficult now.my husband works part time in order to care for me.but im not sure we can afford him not working full time now i have lost my allowence for care.jaclac

I think that one of the things it would be a good idea for you to do is to consider getting advice as to whether you would be eligible for any help via social services. It can be very difficult to get in many places, but it does vary, so it's worth checking out.
