First of all i have just joined and hope to find some support and help through this forum. My wife has her appeal on the 11th of may 2011,having first applied for DLA on january 20th 2010.We dont know what to expect and am worried about the type of questions that will be asked of her,I must add she is so nervous and the morphone tablets she takes are always causing sleepiness around mid morning, her appeal is at 10 am.The citizens advice have dealt with it,and they have asked for higher rate mobilty or lower and lower and middle rate of care, any advice for us would be great.I thank you for taking the time to read this, please help.
Mr peter Chapman
people dont often put in a claim asking for rates.... they let dla know all the problems they have and hope to get the best deal possible
is your claim to get rates increased or was the claim turned down compleatly ?
I have always known what I want hen dealing with dla but would never say to them, they might offer more

Going to Tribunal was very scary for me right up until I actually sat in front of the panel, don't be scared, it is quite an informal procedure, I had waited for 14 months for my hearing, if you have all the relevant paper work (your bundle)and all the evidence concerning your wife's Illness then it should go smoothly, you say CAB have dealt with it for you and so the questions will only be what you already know the answer to, i.e. how did you get here today?, If your wife is genuinely disabled she has nothing to fear, being honest about her problems will make the day less stressful for her.
Good luck, I'm sure it will be fine.
