I have had CFS for three years now and in the past have filled in the ESA claim and appeal forms myself because of the difficulty I have in getting to the CAB office. Unfortunately this has resulted in my being awarded ESA just once, and then being found fit for work on the subsequent two medicals. With my latest appeal got to CAB with the help of my friends who drove me there, and I had help from a very professional and helpful advisor to fill in the form. She dealt with getting supportive evidence from my dr and my specialists. The last I heard she was sending it all in at the end of March, together with a DLA claim. Now they say they never received any further evidence and have rejected my claim! How convenient! Now I am faced with the whole scenario again which fills me with dread. The CAB advisor is away for a few weeks so I have to see someone new. I don't know if I will get such support again as she was the main person to deal with ESA in our area. Like many others,I find the whole process really stressful. I find it difficult to think straight when I become tired. I wish the government could see just how their policy of getting as many people off benefits as possible is adversely affecting people. I am sure that all the hassles they have created have made my condition worse. Does anyone rate my chances of them finding my information, or of getting DLA now?
if the cab person is as good as you think they will have copied everything and someone else in the office will be able to copy it all for you, they should have also sent it at least recorded and better special delivery
