Award for life DLA was created by oldpeglegs
Can you please tell me if an award for life will have to go for Atos/ renewal claims for over 65 in receipt of DLA mobility have searched but cannot find answer.Thankyou

At present, if you have one of the old-style awards for life or a new-style indefinite award, you will not normally have to attend a medical unless your circumstances change, but the DWP does check a proportion of claimants every year under its Right Payments Programme, so you may be required to be reassessed as part of that.
The government has indicated that when it replaces DLA with PIP, all claimants will be expected to attend regular medicals.

I thought I had seen the word medical in some of the government's press releases on this, but I can't be sure, so I'll take your word for it.
Besides which, even if it were an Atos assessment, I suppose it is stretching things to call those medicals anyway.
