Hi Steve
Please read the relevant appeal guide in the members area. It contains advise on what to wear to hearings amongst other things.

When I won my appeal yesterday I made sure I was clean and tidy and well dressed, just the same as I always do.
I wouldn't have felt comfortable looking tatty and with no make up on and I think it would have shown that my untidy appearance was contrived which may have affected how the panel perceived my honesty.
I'm not saying not to dress down if you think it's to your advantage but for me just being naturally myself felt better for me.
I had to go through some very embarrassing questions but the panel drew responses out of me and actualy listened to what I had to say whereas at my medical the barriers were up straight away and the HCP was the last person I wanted to confide in.

Hi Steve, I wore what I always wear; jeans, boots, top and cardy.
Hope that helps,
Rachel
