What exactly does this mean I do not understand what this means for my case. Also does the esa reaessement take 13 weeks. Is this the case?
As you are on IB, you would be transferred to Contribution Based ESA. This is liable to tax but does not take into account your savings.
It is expected that ESA(CB) will be limited to one year for members of the WRAG (not the Support Group) after which you could be eligible for Income Related ESA. ESA(IR) is not liable to tax but is means tested, taking into account you amd your partners savings (£16,000) and income.
A typical ESA assessmemt takes about 13 weeks, but can be a couple of weeks longer or shorter.
Hope this explains it.
