I'm glad to have helped. Do do like Gordon says, though, and take a look at our guides to ESA and also see an adviser. When you're not thinking clearly, individual help can make a big difference.

Do what I did, print off everything you need to from this site then sit quietly and do a bit each day.

There is so much to remember so it can only be done in tiny portions. But get there in the end you will. Good Luck.

It is such a difficult time for anyone that is disabled at the moment so i can really understand how you are feeling. This site has got me through when everything looked hopeless its a real godsend, i can't begin to tell you how much support and comfort i have had from both members and moderators. You won't regret joining i can assure you. So welcome, as advised read through all the guides as they are priceless.

I did the same as Judy, i printed them off and went through them a bit at a time. If you are placed in the support group and i really hope you are, you don't have to go to work related interviews etc. Appart from follow up assessments from time to time they tend to leave you alone. It is also not limited to 12months like the WRAG. I have been in the support group for nearly 2 years, i know at some point i will be reassessed but to date they have left me alone.

Good luck and try not to worry about everything, as i have learnt no amount of worrying will make the slightest bit of difference. But as already suggested please try and get face to face advice.

most areas in the UK now have memory clinics your gp sends you after carry out chest x ray ecg and a set of full bloods, these are done to filter out many things that you would never think would afect your meory and can soon be put right ie thyroid problem certain funny heart beats and a couple of heart problems too
you would then get seen by diferent members of a team to see whats causing your memory problem they would also look to see if your depressed as thats one big cause that gets over looked

also they would look at your medication as sometimes things have been given that mixed with other drugs can cause memory problem and of course if needed ct or mri scan can be done

as your GP if he thinks you would gain from a work over
