eratic condition

my dilemma is this. I'm am a binge drinker (weeks-months at a time) when i am clean there is nothing wrong with me at all but when drinking i am permanently intoxicated and unable to to the slightest thing without assistance (wash, eat, walk, you name it) I read it is a bad idea to put on your esa your worst day but I don't really have an average day. I'm either fine or a disaster no in between. The chances of me being a complete mess on the date of a medical or tribunal are very high however. as I'm paralytic more often than not. what should I do?

Hi Anon22

Please read the ESA mental health guide in the members' area.

There is nothing wrong with describing your worst days as long as you do not give the impression that it applies every day. Ideally you need to give as much detail as possible of your day-to-day life when binging including the frequency and duration.

You say that when you are clean there is nothing wrong with you but don't forget to mention any side-affects or withdrawal symptoms.

I have had vast experience with both AA and 12 step rehabs. Make no mistake both are heavily religious in nature and there is no scientific evidence whatsoever that they help. Anecdotal evidence on the subject is worse than meaningless and they should undoubtedly be illegal. for more information on this please see: www.orange-papers.org/ Also alcoholism is regarded by the medical profession as a mental illness.

I posted a link to AA not having any experiance of them other than it always seems to be the first thing mentioned the other site I think is run by the drinks company and has a wide range of links for advice

yes it's understandable. AA is one huge propaganda machine with it's tentacles spread everywhere. cheers for the thought though.
