ok.passed my medical last month and had my benefit uprated to full incapacity so no more sick notes! asked for the lima report after the event and got an EA1 in post. It puts me in exemption catagory for severe mental illness but has no descriptors or points or anything like that and says my prognosis is likely to get better in 1 year is this the lima report and can anyone tell me the possible implications for ESA transfer.
There is no equivalent exemption in relation to ESA, and unfortunately, with the new rules being brought in now, it will be extremely difficult for people with mental illness to get ESA.
However, if you don't get it on the basis of meeting any of the other criteria there is also a clause relating to serious risk of harm to yourself or someone else if you were found fit for work.
We will be publishing our guides to the new criteria shortly. In the meantime, we have published an online test based on the new criteria that you can use.
thanks for quick reply. there were plenty of physical descriptors not mentioned on the report so I think I'll have a good chance. so this EA1 is the lima report then?
