Hi, I am confused about the points you have to score in order to be unfit for work and claim the new benefit ESA I think it's called instead of SDA. Does it mean you have to score 15 points in every section? I looked at the teat you have here but sorry I am still confused as it does seem to be in two parts. I am sorry if I appear stupid, I am just very tired and very concerned I will lose out.My Daughter has now just lost her job, if both my children sign on for job seekers allowance will it come up on the screen saying what I am claiming and make them decide to send me for a medical earlier?
Thanks
Amber
Not ,many people get 15 points in every section 15 points in total will do for physical health not sure about mental health but someone who knows will be along what other people are claiming in your house is not often relevent only when its things like carers allowance or its ajoint claim between partners when the put your national insurance number in there computer no one elses details show up thats because of the data protection act
it might show on a council benefit computer but not the job center
as for being sent earlier for a medical no one knows the way that computer program works ... that will just happen when it happens

You need to score a total of 15 points across all of the tests, physical and mental.
