I know you didn't. I confess I'm annoyed with myself for forgetting about the tax and pension implications.

The other big problem apart from being taxed and the affect of having a pension is lots of peoples pension go up by or use to RPI now many are going up by CPI which means one thing the increase is going to be less

I may well be mistaken, but my understanding is that transfer from IB to ESA support group can be decided without the claimant having to fill out an ESA50 i.e. on the basis of info already held by the DWP. Is this true? Is it the same for transfer to WRAG or is a comleted ESA required for this? Lastly,is the medical to decide whether claimant is eligible for ESA (WRAG) or JSA? Sorry if this is not very clear but the more I read, the more I worry & the more confused I become

Whether you go onto to claim JSA, if found fit for work, is up to you and whether you actually feel capable of doing so.
Hope this explains it.

It has been suggested in documents pre-election that where possible, existing IB information would be used to decide ESA placement. There has been nothing post-election, so we will have to wait and see.I may well be mistaken, but my understanding is that transfer from IB to ESA support group can be decided without the claimant having to fill out an ESA50 i.e. on the basis of info already held by the DWP. I think it unlikely that placement in the WRAG could be done from existing records, the IB and ESA medicals are so different, especially with regard to intent, that I cannot see how this would work.Is it the same for transfer to WRAG or is a comleted ESA required for this?
No the WCA is primarily to decide whether you are fit to work or not, and to a lesser extent which group you should be placed in if found incapable of work.Lastly,is the medical to decide whether claimant is eligible for ESA (WRAG) or JSA?
Whether you go onto to claim JSA, if found fit for work, is up to you and whether you actually feel capable of doing so.
Hope this explains it.
