It doesn't matter whether you actually get help, or even whether you would want it, you just have to need help.

I live alone, get no help from anyone, but the fact is I do need help and so wrote this on my claim form. They actually have a few questions in there where they ask you if you get help what the help is, or if you don't get help but need it, what help would you need.

I have specifically stated on my forms that I live alone and get no help at present so I don't think that would mean you would be viewed as not needing help because you must have to cope alone. The truth is I just don't cope!

Yes thanks a lot Libra45 for telling me. I hope you are alright and your mum is aswell. I first had problems with the slipped disc in my back in 1999 and started to have problems with my ankle in 2006. If I get anything do you or anyone know how far back I could get it backdated to?

You and the rest of the people in the forum are so friendly it is nice to be able to talk to people who are in the same or similar positions. I know some of the people who use this forum are worse than others but it is nice to be able to talk to others like myself.

Hi Bunny I knew if I was like you I would have to cope alone my mum is an an absolute angel doing everything for me.

I don't know what your problems are or problem is that is private and your business. But you are doing a really good job of looking after yourself, well done.

But when I put on the forms that I have help, I do need that help. People like you are amazing I wouldn't be able to do what you are doing you are a trooper. Keep your chin up.

I am unable to do anything for myself. You really are amazing.

Hi Susanlilly

I wouldn't have thought the doctor would be able to say anything about another claimant

Well done for beating him. :woohoo: Conratulations. I also hope I can get what I deserve aswell as everyone else in this forum.

I have a herniated disc in my back which I have had since 1999 and am in chronic/severe pain. I tried to get DLA then and got absolutely nothing I wish this site was invented then. I didn't appeal either which was stupid of me. :silly:

Since then though I have also started to have problems with my right ankle since 2007 such as grade 3 osteoarthritis, quite unstable joint and chronic/severe pain.

So have applied again and am now awaiting a reply.
