Support Group and DLA Claim

Hi,
I have been placed in the support group for my ESA, would anyone know whether that would help with my DLA appeal? I notice that the descriptors for the support group are more or less the same as DLA.

Hi Sue, pleased to hear that you are in the support group.

I don't know much about DLA but ESA evidence is often used adversely to affect a DLA claim; I see no reason why supporting evidence of satisfying support group descriptors should not be used for your DLA claim.

hi sue good luck to you,did you have to have a medical or just the form sent?

Hi,
I had a medical which I failed, there was lots of back and forth letters, complaints etc etc and finally the decision was made to put me in the support group before the appeal was heard. It has taken a year in total.
