DEBT COLLECTORS AND DLA

Hi, I am a new member to this site and have been watching your forum as a non member until today, very impressed. My question is. I am being harrassed by some credit companies for debts owed a long time ago, I have been paying a small amount each month for years. I am now getting DLA HRM and HRC is there any way they can find out that I get this DLA as I don't think that they are entitled to take this money, and all of a sudden they are on my back again. I am on pension credit only as far as they are concered. Thanks
