Hi, I went for a medical with Atos 18mnths ago and they signed me off too ill to work with a review date on 6/2/11. I have since moved area and the local jobcentreplus called me in for a wfi and left it up to me to contact them when I feel well enough to think about work. They have not stated any review dates just left it up to me due to my illness. I have the written report they sent me stating they have left it like this. SO... my question is... will I be called for another medical still by atos on 6/2/11 or will my advisor at the jcp report since the medical override the atos review now? If so when will my transfer date from IB to ESA happen? Anyone??

The DWP intend to transfer IB claimants based on their review dates, however, the process which was supposed to start in March has been delayed until April.

You may be lucky and be sent an IB50, or they may delay your review so that you can be transferred, until you receive one or the other you won't know.

Thank you Gordon, does that mean my review date would still have been that stated by atos or would it have been overridden by the jcp's decision? which had no review date (assuming there were to be no changeover). I'm just trying to find out who has the last say on review dates I guess and whether I actually have one or not. Who sends the IB50's out? atos or jcp? If that makes any sense!

I'm sorry, you are looking for certainty in an uncertainn world.

You could get an IB50 in the next month, an ESA50 in six weeks or nothing for four years! There is really no way of predicting what and when.

Oh right, thank you Gordon I think I understand now. Well I'll be prepared but not worried if nothing turns up yet. That's about all I can do I guess then. What a shambles and how frustrating. I don't know why they can't just leave ill people alone it's not as if we haven't enough to contend with. Thanks again Gordon you've actually made sense of nonsense
