My IS/SDP finishes I think at the end of the month, after a 3 year period. But I've heard nothing from the DWP, is the onus on me to ask for a form, what happens if it went missing, quite possible and if the new claim takes a while how does it impact on HB.
The onus is on them to send the form. However, they may have decided to extend your review date. A number of people have said that this has happened to them. On the other hand, the paperwork might have got lost in the post, especially with it being close to Christmas, so it wouldn't do any harm to give them a ring to be on the safe side.
For a renewal like this, there shouldn't be any problem with the HB because the existing benefits should continue whilst the process of determining whether to continue your benefits goes on. It's only if you're turned down that you need to go directly to the council to reopen your HB claim.
hi thanks for info, i don't want to contact them unless I have to, the last payment was on 23rd December and a cold weather payment was on 27th, has there been any delay over the holiday?
