IB to ESA migration and Permitted Work

I am on long term IB and earn £20 a week for 3 hours work
under the Permitted Work rules. What happens when I am reassessed for ESA? - a) if I'm lucky enough to get in the support group b)if I'm in the WRAG group c) if I fail and have to claim ESA at the basic rate whilst appealing and d) if - Horror! - I lose an appeal and am put on JSA? I have been doing this work a long time and it both helps me mentally and financially.Should I mention it when filling in the ESA50 when reviewed?

Thanks for any advice

Francis

See this new thread I've posted a few minutes ago which explains about moving from IB to ESA.

Thanks for that - but will I still be allowed to do Permitted Work and will it go against me if I have to appeal?

I don't think there are any significant differences in the rules for Permitted Work between IB and ESA.

That said, the fact that you are doing PW will undoubtedly be reviewed when you are transferred. Obviously the main issue that will be looked at is whether your PW is consistant with you illness or disability.

Even if it is compatible, I think you should be prepared to argue your case as ATOS, who carry out the ESA medicals have a history of taking information at face value and may mark you down because of this.

What I wouldn't do, is spend the next x months worrying about this, just be prepared to be prepared. :)
