I'm guessing you're on statutory sick pay or sick pay under your contract.

If you leave your job for reasons of ill health and are unfit for work, you can apply for ESA. You will need to submit medical certificates from your doctor, and after a couple of months or so you'll have a medical to see whether you can stay on it.

If you look on the homepage, you can find a self-assessment tool that will give you an idea of whether you would be entitled to claim ESA and if you look under help for claimants, you can find more detailed information about claiming ESA.

Hi,

See your other post for a reply. Yes, using a CAB as well as our guides is a good idea.
