Is the person at the DWP who makes the decision as to whether you are fit to work or not, not the "medical professional" at ATOS, a doctor or an administrator?
Thanks Steve

There is a "Decision Maker" who decides whether to award you ESA. They are not a health care professional. However, they base their decision on the ATOS report and any other information they may consider appropriate.
I was just trying to cheer myself up (satire intended) .
After all you have to find the idea amusing. A DWP admin assistant with no medical training, writing to my doctor telling him to ignore his own diagnosis and prognosis of my condition, having based their decision on the assessment of a nurse with no specialist knowledge of my condition and a test which completely ignores the major factors of my ilness.
OK rant over, thanks for being patient.
