What isn't clear to me is the speed at which these changes are to be implemented. Following severe heart attacks and gastro intestinal disease I have been in receipt of both IB and DLA (Mobility Component) for six years approx.
I reach the official retirement age (65) in November 2011 at which time I understand I will no longer be entitled to IB.
From all I have read the ESA Medical will be introduced by March 2011 . Does this mean I will be forced to undergo fresh medicals and eventual reassessement with a view to presumably getting me back to work for six months or is there a cut off point at which the new regulations will not be enforced.
I have no doubt that under this current regime we are all going to be worse off; however I do not see MP's and Bankers having to 'bite the bullet'.
I suspect time scales will slip back and filters used to remove people near 65 from the process so they dont start stopping the IB of people who are just about to stop claiming
oh what i should have said is they dont start the process of checking people near 65 but i think what i put is right
