IB50 DLA HRC was created by njalondon
Hi, I'm in receipt of DLA HRC and Income Support, I've just received an IB 50 through the post, what should I do? As I understand it I'm exempt from the PCA test still is that still correct?

My daughter is on higher rate care and also received a IB50 form.I rang the benefits section who deal with incapacity benefit and explained she should not have been sent the form and they agreed and put it right.
So ring and the will sort it out for you because you should be exempt.

Hi
Could someone just clarify this, i am also on HRC but i still had to complete the IB50 and attend a medical. I am now confused as to who is exempt from completing this and going for medicals. I would be very grateful if someone could just clarify this for me please, at least i will know where i stand should i be sent another. I am in the support group at the moment but the way things are going who knows what will happen next!!!
Kind regards

Current legislation is that those in receipt of HRC should not be sent an IB50, but often the Atos Medical Services still send them an IB50, and if it's completed then the claimant cannot withdraw that form. Until fairly recently Atos did not send out IB50's, it was done by the JobCentre Plus office's of the DWP.
