I finally got my paperwork for my ESA assessment finished - done with the help partly of what I have read on B & W and posted it off this week - Monday I think.
I received my first payment of ESA on Wed this week - this was bang on time as I had applied early due to knowing when my SSP would run out, (though my job in fact is now terminated due to my ill health).
I was pretty shocked to hear from ATOS today - since they must have only got my paperwork on Tues at the earliest - asking me to ring them to make an appointment for my medical assessment.
In the same week on Thurs I heard from the local Jobcentre to invite me to come into them for my Pathways Interview, and on the same day UNISON congratulated me on my retirement as a Retired Member. The irony was not lost on me.
Has anyone else heard this quickly or am I the lucky one?
Sorry to disappoint you. I sent my ESA50 on 19/07/10 next day delivery, they would have received it on 20/07/10. The letter they sent out giving me a medical appointment was dated 23/07/10, three days after receiving the ESA50.
I've been told it takes around five weeks to get a decision after the medical at present.
