Hi, I had a pca test on 2nd july and telephoned dwp to obtain a medical report.I was told that under no circumstances could i receive a report as i could only get a medical report when a decision has been made. As far as i was aware you could obtain the report at anytime, especially as it can take weeks to obtain a decision.your answers would be appreciated.thanx steve
There are no specific rules about when you can get a copy of your medical report. However, if the DWP are refusing to provide one, tell them that they must treat your request as a request under the Data Protection Act and - if they are not prepared to provide a copy within the time limit - they need to explain which exemption they are relying upon.
Good luck,
Steve
