Hi All,

Many, Many Thanks this website & for your advice as without it I doubt if I would have had the confidence to fight!

I thought I would let you all know that yet another DLA tribunal has been won!! :cheer:
I am over the moon, I was awarded what I applied for & it is being backdated 15 months.
The panel didn’t even question me, my representative was called in first, she came out after about 2 minutes & said “The panel will NOT be asking you anything, they just want to tell you their decision!!”

It would be interesting to know if the Tribunal Department report back to the DWP that they are making decisions based on the claimants defence & not even having to question them.
It would be nice if they were told, then someone or even the government might realise that if DWP were doing their jobs right in the first place an awful lot of time & money would not be being wasted on these Tribunal appeals to start with.

Hi Dawn,

Congratulations and thank you for sharing your good news.

Sadly, as the outgoing president of the appeals service complained, there is no propoer feedback mechanism to allow tribunals to tell decision makers just how bad they really are.

Good luck,

Steve

Hi Pawprint,
The lady who represented me was from A4U in Shrewsbury, which used to be DIAL.
I went to them initially about a housing problem & when I mentioned I was applying for DLA they said if I had any problems to get in touch with them!

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your comments, it is a great pity that the Tribunal service did not have a feedback system, it may save the govt money in the long run as I doubt if the panel do it for nothing. Then there is the cost of the court & other staff.
