hi.for the last 20 years i have been addicted to tranquilizers and all of the problems that go with them.on my esa50 it says coping with social situations.do i say i have no problems which i sometimes dont when i am spaced out and have to self medicate with alcohol.or is coping with social situations classed as having a clear mind without the need for precription drugs
You need to explain as clearly as you can the range of your difficulties.
So, explain how you cope - or fail to cope - with social situations when you haven't used any substances.
Then explain what strategies you use, such as self-medicating with alcohol and what difference this makes.
If prescription drugs which you have actually been prescribed and are taking at the correct dosage make a difference, then you are likely to be assessed as you are when using these drugs.
Good luck,
Steve
Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
the thing that concerns me about the atos medical.is there is no information from my own doctor about my health problems of many years.and do atos doctors tend to think that people who self medicate with alcohol with there prescription drugs as makers of there own downfall.and should pull themselves together.
