Pathways to work interview was created by Maximus
Husband awarded ESA 3/3/10 following long term sick leave from his job where he is still employed. We havent even sent back questionnaire yet and he has today received letter saying to go to Pathways to work interview.
He doesnt need to look for a new job, he is already employed! Does he have to go as looking at direct gov site it would appear it is only for people out of work?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi
Like your husband I am still employed but to receive the ESA I have had to attend the Pathways to work interviews. I've met with someone on a monthly basis and the appointments have lasted less than 20 minutes. I got the impression it's to make sure you are maintaining contact with your employer for when you might be in a position to return to work.

Thanks for that, Ive been looking through the guides too Crazy Diamond and it looks like he will have to go, which stresses him no-end as the hassle it will bring if he doesn't isn't really worth it. Hopefully they will be as straight forward as Fruity suggests.
