I submitted claim to UC, yet I received Child Tax Credit was created by VIA
Hello,
I received my managed migration letter to UC.
I submitted my claim online with proof of ID, housing cost etc.
My child tax credit should have been stopped yes it has been paid.
Should I call Child Tax Credit to tell to stop it?
Should I also contact Esa and ask them to stop it?
I thought Childs Tax Credit and Esa was stopping of its own accord.
I appreciate any help.
Thank you.
Best wishes

Hi VIA
With ESA there is a 2 week run on. Do you think your payment is this?
How much CTC overpayment do you think has been made ? Where you being paid CTC in arrears?

Hello David,
I called them because of the one payment child tax credit after I submitted my claim.
But they told me it is not 1 week but 2 that were overpaid as they were issued at around the date I submitted my claim, and also that the payment were issued in advance not in arrears.
But they will send me a letter to sort it out, but they would not tell me anymore.
Thank you.
Best wishes

Hi VIA
Thanks for your feedback. It obviously makes a big difference if the Tax Credits are paid in advance rather than arrears.
