Contribution based ESA Tribunal

You have not stated whether or not you are having a face to face tribunal or a telephone one.

I have assumed it is a face to face tribunal.

I find that quite often the tribunal will concentrate of the assessors report, so make yourself familiar with it and make notes on any errors you have found in the report, if you can tie the errors in with any supporting documents so much the better.

Produce yourself a bullet point list of errors/inaccuracies and note why they are errors /inaccuracies, the why is the important part.

As you go through each bullet point tick them off your list.

Be sure of the criteria for ESA, use our guide to help you, remember there are two parts you have to pass to be awarded, first part you have to reach 15 points, the second part you have to fit one of their descriptors, 10 for physical function and 7 for mental, cognitive and intellectual functions.

If you cannot remember anything then say so, do not make an answer up as it will go against you, remember not to use grey words such as sometimes or may be and have someone with you if possible even if it is to carry your paperwork.
