Revise award and UC application was created by Pointer
Hello
I Hope someone cold advise?
Been v worried about my upcoming migration over to UC from ESA, been contacting CAB since December was advised last week to apply to today and was booked in for an 8 am call with the same advisor.
The original advisor never called and I called back spoke to a second advisor who went through my award, this advisor believed that I was entitled to a severe disability premium which I was not getting, he called me twice and was struggling to clarify this with his manager.
In the mean time the original advisor called, I told her I had been speaking to her colleague, she told me as I lived with someone I was not entitled to this, I asked her to check with her manager who said categorically No as you do not live alone.
The advisor stayed with me whilst I applied for UC and completed it, finished the call and you guessed it the second advisor called and had spoken to a senior moderator who advised that yes, there has been an official error and it should be revised and income related premium entitlement has been missed.
Please do not judge me too harshly for submitting the UC, very weary and frightened with all this and thought I was doing the right thing.
My question is where does this leave me now and would DWP consider revising it when the UC application has gone in?
Best of luck to all on here and completing the migration

Hi Pointer,
Here is a useful guide from the Charity Scope regarding the Severe Disability Premium and living with someone. Have a read and check if your circumstances allow eligibility.

If you meet the conditions let me know and I will advise on a backdating request and Transitional Protection.
