Greetings, all. My PIP began pretty much the same time as my state pension (autumn 2021) because I applied well before my 66th birthday, in which circumstances it is continued. I have spinal curvature and a chronic autoimmune disease and walk with a rollator and was given a 10 year review. Everything in garden lovely And then..leaving me all at sea Before Christmas I smashed down on a tarmac pavement and broke my femur. I reported having been admitted to hospital. I was transferred for rehab and when I had been away from home over 28 days I reported that too.
I spoke to a very nice lady but she wasn't sure what happens next, except obviously I need to tell them when I get home to be specific she seemed to say I’d lose the adl component but keep the mobility part. The trouble is, PIP being the systemically weird thing it is I could walk the necessary distance so I don't have a mobility component so presumably now no Pip. ??
So I have to put in a new claim?
I now have some different problems with doing things. How do I convey those if not through a new claim
Since I am now a pensioner am I allowed to put in a new claim for PIP or do I have to claim Attendance Allowance? Many thanks for any help clarifying any of this
