For LCWRA, can Journal Notifications be received by email? was created by BV
For those with trouble using computers, who are on LCWRA, how can one get notifications by email so they don't have to keep checking the journal everyday?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi BV,
If because of impairment you are unable to use the UC digital service then you need to phone the UC helpline and ask for a Telephone Only claim. The negative thing about a phone only claim is that you wont get the information feed that you do with an online account and will have to rely on a UC agent phoning you.

Just can't check UC online every week. Isn't there a way to get notifications?
Or require DWP to send letters considering if they've never contacted the same claimant on ESA on a regular basis to begin with?

Hi BV,
Not that I know of. The DWP expects you to meet the requirements for a UC Telephone Only claim. You can try phoning Citizens Advice UC advice line to see if they have any other information.
Call our Help to Claim phone line
You can contact an adviser through our free Help to Claim phone service. Advisers are available 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday:
England: 0800 144 8 444
Scotland: 0800 023 2581
Wales: 08000 241 220
Call the Wales number if you’d like to speak to a Welsh language adviser.
Ask for a translator if you need to get advice in a different language.
Relay UK - if you can't hear or speak on the phone, you can type what you want to say:
Relay UK (England): 18001 then 0800 144 8 444
Relay UK (Wales): 18001 then 08000 241 220
You can use Relay UK with an app or a textphone. There’s no extra charge to use it. Find out how to use Relay UK on the Relay UK website.
