PIP review brutal was created by JLP
Had my PIP review today. The assessor was late ringing by almost an hour. After telling her I was in bed and unable to get up due to being ill she proceeded to interrogate me for 1.5 hours it was brutal. I was shocked at her level of questioning and repetition of questions over and over. I suspect she is their best assessor it was a million times worse than I could ever have imagined. I feel shell shocked and totally depressed. The whole thing reminds me of being in the dock in court and being questioned by a top rate barrister. I’m dreading reading the letter off the DWP

Hi JLP,
I'm saddened to hear if your experience. Unfortunately this is not the first time that this sort if experience has been complained about.
Give it maybe one day more then ring DWP and ask fir a copy if the assessment report- called PA4. Dont be fobbed off, you are entitled to a copy, ring again if the advisor says no!
Firstly, be prepared -the result will probably be as bad as you suspect,( but if not it will be a pleasant surprise!)
Then immediately contact DWP and complain, say you were ill, assessor was rude etc and the report is wholky inaccurate and doesn't reflect the true nature of your disabilities. - there is a small window of opportunity to get to DWP before they actually make their decision . If the report is truly bad, you can make an actual complaint to the assessment provider, and send a copy to DWP as well.
Failing that, understand the decision will not be favourable, and start preparing your Mandatory Reconsideration letter, and getting any more evidence you might need.
We all know that there are some very poor assessors, you're not the only one to have suffered in this way. We are all rooting for you here in B&W.
Please don't give up the fight!
I hope this helps.
