I'm a carer for my partner who quit work due to illness.
We are unsure if she needs to pay National Insurance for this tax year, given that she needs to file the last tax return after leaving work in January. She receives contribution-based ESA so doesn't want this to stop if she doesn't pay NI. Any advice or insight appreciated.
