I applied online for PIP about five weeks ago. I had my assessment with capita about a week ago. It was a telephone assessment and lasted just over an hour.
The lady was friendly and said the report would be typed up and sent back to DWP that afternoon.
I still haven’t had a text to say it’s back with dwp (it’s been a week). We called DWP and the lady wasn’t very helpful. At first she said why did we want to report a change of circumstances and then said do you want to appeal the current claim. In the end she said it’s still with capita and to ring them.
I can only assume the assessment paperwork hasn’t been sent back yet to DWP. How long does this normally take and is this normal?
The report from Capita is supposed to be back within 48hrs, but several members have had issues with Capita over the last few years. Capita says that there is no set time frame. It may be that the assessor is 'late' or your form could have randomly been chosen for an internal audit by Capita (which does sometimes happen). The only way you will find out is by phoning Capita.
