I'm currently in receipt of contributon based esa. I applied for it last October and was placed in the support group at the beginning of 2024.
Am I right in thinking I will continue to receive payments past the inital 12month period which would be due to end shortly?
How often do they review people in the support group? I was placed in my on a paper assessment. I starting to get anxious that I'll lose this money and don't know how I'd survive without it.
Also just want to double check is contributors esa also being migrated to UC? I really hope not as unfortunately I'm not eligible for UC.
Lastly I know the Tories had removed the WCA, just wondering if there's anything further on this snd what the effect would be on CESA?
Apologies if these questions have been asked a 1000 times before, I've been worrying alot lately.
Yes, your payments of ESA will continue whilst you remain in the Support Group. Contributions based ESA is not being migrated to UC. I don't know what the new Labour government is planning. Keep an eye on the BenefitsandWork news, link here. www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/news
