Hi, My son is Autistic and other health issues he is at University 2 days a week and is receiving both eliments of PIP, and no other benefits, is he entitled to claim UC? I didn't think he could as he lives at home, my husband works and I am receiving contribution ESA. Grateful for your advice

Hi theophilus9,

The problem is If your son attends a full-time course on a part-time basis, he will be treated as studying full-time. If so that means your son cannot claim UC as he needs to have previously been awarded LCW or LCWRA ( limited capability for work ) as a result of attending a DWP medical.
