I haven’t received my migration letter yet but would like to know more about the possibility of alternative payment arrangements. I am in a tier 1 category and will struggle with receiving such a large payment every month. At what point should I request an APA? Is this something citizens advice will help with during help to claim? I’m just trying to be prepared in order to lessen my anxiety
Yes, it is a worrying time for a lot of people facing big changes with their Benefits. The positive thing though is there is support for you. As you mention, Citizens Advice Help to Claim will assist you through the whole of the Migration process until you receive your first UC payment.
As far as the APA is concerned here is a link to the official guide, giving the Tier1 factors. assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/governm...support-guidance.pdf You can discuss this with Help to Claim at the time of Migration and then arrange your first APA.
Hope this helps, David
