Hi, my brother suffers from COPD and he is needing more help. He struggles in the morning and throughout the day. I need to have a male family member to give him a shower. I am at the stage I need to move in with him as his needs are changing. He receives the full mobility and part of care component ( I think) I may be wrong in this and he may receive the enhanced rate. I also receive the care component . Would this stop me moving in with my brother to support his needs. I receive the care component for a bowel condition and osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. I thank you for help offered. We live in Scotland Kind Regards Teresa Ferguson I
It will not stop you moving in to support your brother. We would advise youto seek advice from your local Welfare Rights Organisation; advicelocal.uk , they will be able to take all your circumstnces into consideration when giving you advice.
