Speedy or What!

I promised to give an update and thanks to the Moderators. You all do a great job and many on here, including myself may not have been successful without you. What is certain, without the guides, it is fair to say the vast majority would fail to get any award.

In a recent post on Tuesday of this week I said I had received a text telling me a decision had been made and I would be getting a letter in two weeks. Well 3 days later (today) I got the white envelope from Belfast. I sat looking at it for a bit, opened it and was beyond pleased to see I had retained highest award for daily living and mobility for another 5 years. This interestingly takes me up my state pension age (in fact 2 months before my 67 birthday.) There must be a reason behind this, however, I am extremely grateful to the DM as this was a paper review with no assessment which is a first for me. No more stress.

Thank you to everyone. I wish you all well. I am paid up for another year and will keep in touch.

I think, after waiting so long for a decision (like many on here) I was more staggered to get a text one day and three days later my letter arriving. I do not think I have ever read of anyone getting a response so quickly....
