Hello,

I see that travelling at night isn’t to an acceptable standard, so my question is.

What is considered night time by PIP’s definition?

Hi Anxious Anonymous

That's a new one on me - and you know - I have no idea. I would think that it applies to when it is dark. Now, in the winter here, it is dark at 4 pm, which is still considered the afternoon - but I would still apply it to when it gets dark because many people can drive in daylight, but not at night because they have sight issues.

Hi BIS,

I just noticed it in the descriptors and wondered what they meant by night time because I used to work night shifts and that was 10pm-6am but by government definition it’s 11pm-6am. But some night shifts are also 8pm-8am.

So I was just curious what they meant by night time.

Hi,

I find driving in the dark very difficult - so I won't do it. A lot of the problems for me is the new style of headlighting - they're so bright, and blind you when you have people right up your read end. Even when you adjust your rear view mirror, you still get a glare.

Regards, Chris.
