After being ESA re-assessed from Support to WRAG, I have just found out that with B&W's help, I put in an appeal, stuffed it with backup, and have now been put back into Support.
One thing though. When the initial decision came, the reduced WRAG rate kicked in from date of decision [mid-Sept]; but now, DWP are telling me my re-entry into Support is to be backdated to mid-August, which is when I had my ATOS medical.
Does this seem correct? Also, do I have to make a claim for the period I was in WRAG in terms of recovering the shortfall in benefit?
That is great news Augustus! Thanks for letting us know and for your kind words about B+W
You will not have to claim your backpayment, it will happen automatically - but you should expect to wait a while for it (I bet that doesn't surprise you!). You are correct in thinking that the backpay should be dated from the previous decision, were you told otherwise in writing or over the phone?
