IB to ESA support Group with medical

Am so happy and so grateful to this site. Received letter today (after exactly 3weeks since i sent of the form), transferring my husband from IB to Contribution-based ESA support Group without a medical. Spend weeks filling in the form, going through every page of the guides on this site, reading all the comments on the forum, writing and re-writing it in rough first, going to see the gp and writing to his consultant to get supporting letters to send with it, (whioch luckily they were both willing to do), as well as lots of extra pages attached to the form for many of the questions, explaining in detail how his condition affects him. Also got my daughter to write a letter saying what it was like for her living with her Dad and his illness. And now its all paid off. Really didn't want to go through a medical as you read such awful things, and its so stressful. so this is such good news - and i feel without the help from this site it would not have happened. Now (as suggested on this site) am writing to them to ask for ESA85A medical report to find out how long before will be re-assessed as there's nothing on the letter to tell you.
Hopefully now a bit of a breather before the DLA to PIP letter arrives.
But all i can say is the guides on the Benefits and Works site are such amazing help. A huge huge Thankyou. Have used them before and will continue to use them. Worth every penny.
